こんにちは。今日は前回の続きを書こうと思います。
弊社は社名に「映像デザイン事務所」という言葉を入れさせて頂いておりますが、これは「何をしている会社なのかを分かりやすく伝えたいから」という(ような)ことを前回書かせて頂きました。
言葉の選びかたとしては、これ以上ないほどわかりやすいような気がしているのですが、初めてお会いする方とお話ししていると、わりと「で、結局どんなものを作っているの？」と聞かれることが多く、そのたびに実際に関わったお仕事をいくつかお見せしたりして(このホームページでいうところのWorksですね)具体的に「こういうものを作っています」というようなやりとりをさせて頂いています。
実際に作っているものを見てもらうのが一番なので、それはそれでよいのですが、やはりスムーズに伝わらないのは問題だな、と常々感じております。
前回も書きましたが、おそらく「映像」や「デザイン」という言葉で職業領域等を捉えようとしたときに、言葉の意味する範囲が広すぎて、ぼんやりしてしまうのだと思います。
以上のような理由から、弊社ではデザインと映像のどの領域にどう関わっているのかを、より具体的に、皆さまに知って頂く必要を感じておりまして、現在、Serviceというディレクトリをホームページ上に新設する計画を進めております。
例えば、映像であればCM、ミュージックビデオ、映画などとジャンルは様々です。
今挙げた例でお伝えしますと、弊社ではCMの企画、ディレクション、撮影編集などは、比較的多くご用命頂いております。Web CMやPR動画も多いのですが、これも広い意味ではCMに含めて良いと思います。
反面ミュージックビデオは近年の実績がほとんどありません。(やりたい気持ちはもちろんあります！)
また、映画に関しては予告編やオープニングタイトル映像、劇中CG、VFXカット作成など、できることは多く、独立前は何度も携わらせていただきました。開業後はご相談は何度か頂いたものの、まだほとんどご縁がありません。（やりたい気持ちはとってもあります。映画そのものを作ることができたらもっと楽しそう！）
長々と書いてしまいましたが、以上のように、映像のどの領域でどんな力を発揮できるのか、今後ホームページ改修も含め、みなさまにより伝わりやすい形になるように整理して参りますので、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
