こんにちは。映像ディレクターでデザイナーの清森達士です。（お仕事の詳細はWORKSから）
イギリスのエリザベス女王が亡くなりました。96歳でした。謹んでご冥福をお祈りいたします。
また、女王の崩御に伴ってチャールズ皇太子がチャールズ三世として国王に即位するとのことです。
エリザベス女王が即位したのは1952年なのでまさに戦後の象徴のような在位だったと思います。
また、今を生きる私たちにとってはイギリスは女王の国というイメージが強いです。
音楽やファッション、映画などイギリスの文化は世界をリードしてきましたが、その偉大なイギリス文化のアイコンとして女王の存在は大きかったのではないかと思います。
イギリスは新しい首相になったばかりでもあり、自国のみならずヨーロッパも世界も大きな変化の中で揺れ動いています。
難しい時期に即位する国王や首相は大仕事になると思いますが、混乱よりは団結が結ばれるのではないでしょうか。
また、新首相は女性でもあり、女性のリーダーの伝統は続いていくとも言えます。
日本とも縁の深いイギリス王室並びに英国のますますの発展を願っています。
